Grenada the “Isle of Spice” extends an invitation to all beekeepers, family and friends from the English, Spanish and French region and the rest of the beekeeping world. Please take this opportunity to visit Grenada and be part of the 6th Caribbean Beekeeping Congress to be held from the 23rd to the 27th May 2011. The unique beauty of our Island and the hospitality of our people would be at your disposal.
The Beekeepers in the region continue to make their voices heard and contribute significantly to agricultural diversification in a most environmentally friendly manner.
The Biennial meeting of the Caribbean Beekeeping congress provides a forum for meaningful discussion and exchange of ideas and technical information among beekeepers and other stake holders in the industry. It is the most important event on the regional beekeeping calendar.
Invitations have been sent to Agriculture Departments, Beekeeping organization and Beekeepers through out the Caribbean and the rest of the beekeeping fraternity. A wonderful opportunity would be provided for you to meet with beekeepers in Grenada and the wider region, share experience, visits to bee farms and sights of interest in Grenada and on the Island of Carriacou.

Notice Persons who wish to get close to bee hives during the field trips are advised that the LOC would ot be providing protective clothing, however one of the following can be done
- i) Walk with new protective clothing
- ii) Arrangements can be made with local beekeepers to use theit own
- iii) Persons are asked to wear long sleeve tops, long pants, ordinary latex gloves, and a veil or netted material for their head

Leaving St. George’s travelling along Western main road onto Jessamine Eden Botanical Garden, Dougalston Estate, Gouyave, St. John to Bennette Baptiste Apiary yard in Chantimelle, St. Patrick’s and onto Levara National Park.
Tour 2
Leaving St. George’s travelling to Golf Course to Bocage Apiary and Batihk Apiary along the Eastern side of the country onto Westerhall Distillers Company onto the town of Grenville and Seven Stars Apiary yard in St. Andrew’s onto Levara National Park.
Tour 3
Leaving the town of St. George’s onto Grand Etang National Park travelling onto Harford Village to Jude Findley Apiary to the town of Grenville stopping at the Nutmeg Processing station and Beekeepers Office onto Levara National Park.
Fish Friday
Fish Friday festival is held every Friday night in the town of Gouyave, St. John, it promotes community development in Gouyave and the overall parish of St. John. People from all sector of the society visit the Island seem to enjoy the activites.
A one day excursion to the sister isle of Carriacou on Saturday November 13th , 2010 leaving the Carenage, St. George’s at 8:00am and returning at 5:30pm via Osprey lines. This would be an excellent opportunity to see Grenada and the smaller islands that makes up the Southern Grenadines
